Rosa Hernandez-Ramos (she/ella) is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at UC Irvine’s Psychological Science Department. Rosa has experience working with adolescents at acute-risk for self-injurious behaviors, including self-harm and suicide. While working at an Intensive Outpatient Program in the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, she facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills groups and provided individual DBT-based treatment to high school-aged adolescents experiencing severe impairments in their daily functioning. Rosa’s program of research focuses on scaling access to evidence-based treatments for marginalized Latinx populations using nontraditional service delivery models (e.g., digital mental health, promoteres de salud, peer support, etc.) and culturally-responsive strategies. On a personal note, Rosa enjoys spending time outdoors, binge-watching popular streaming shows, and hanging out with loved ones.

Rosa Hernandez-Ramos sees adolescents and adults online and in the Newport Beach office.
