Dr. Katie Strang is a licensed psychologist and DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician™ who works with adults, adolescents, and families. She is CBT certified by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. She serves as the Head of Continuing Education for the International Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (IACBT). Dr. Strang earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology with an emphasis in child and adolescent development at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings. Such as, residential treatment facilities, inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, and private practice.

Dr. Strang completed her APA-accredited internship at the Youth Opportunity Center, a youth residential treatment program. There she completed trauma-informed comprehensive psychological evaluations, provided comprehensive therapy services, and was introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Since becoming licensed in 2016, Dr. Strang has completed multiple DBT trainings. She has extensive experience delivering comprehensive, high-fidelity DBT to adults, adolescents, and parents.

While DBT is her passion, she also has training and experience in a range of evidence-based treatments. Such as,  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE), and DBT for Substance Use Disorders (DBT-SUDS). Dr. Strang’s clinical interests and specializations include Borderline Personality Disorder, OCD, substance abuse, emotion dysregulation, healthy relationships, anxiety, and work with adolescents and parents. She is a LGBTQIA+ allied clinician who values providing an inclusive, culturally sensitive therapy experience for all clients. Dr. Strang sees clients virtually and in the Beverly Hills office.
