
Hasana Johnson, MA is an advanced doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. She holds a Master’s in Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cal State Northridge. Her career began as a behavioral therapist, where she worked with children with autism while continuing her education. Over the years, Johnson has gained diverse experience in both community counseling centers and Telehealth platforms.
Johnson’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and guided by the balance of structure and compassion found in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She values intentionality in treatment while also maintaining the flexibility and empathy needed to meet each client where they are. Hasana is deeply committed to supporting survivors of trauma, as well as individuals struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and suicidality. In every client interaction, her focus remains on using her knowledge and skills to guide others, which is the hallmark of Hasana Johnson’s career.
