Wendy Morgan, LMFT had a long career in marketing and public relations, working with organizations like Dreamworks and HBO, before pursing her dream of becoming a clinician and researcher. Wendy is intensively trained in DBT by Alan Fruzetti and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Advances in Cognitive Therapy program. Wendy is a published author on CBT in The Behavior Therapist. She is on the Public Domain Committee of the International Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy and the Program Committee of the International Society for the Improvement and Teaching of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (ISITDBT). She is also on the Membership Committee of the CBT Society of Southern California (CBTSSC). She served on the Program Committee for the Scientific Sessions on Mental Health at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where she is actively involved in research on CBT and DBT. Her research interests include the impact of CBT supervision on treatment adherence and patient outcomes. Wendy presented on data from these studies at the International Congress on Cognitive Psychotherapy in Hong Kong, as well as at ISITDBT, and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy’s Annual Conference. Since Wendy lived abroad for many years, she has an appreciation for people from multiple cultures. Her clinical interests include DBT with adolescents and adults, mindfulness, and CBT for depression, anxiety, attachment and relationship issues. She received her BA in psychology at Cal State Northridge and her MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Los Angeles.
