Sandra Chen, M.A.

Intake Coordinator

Locations: Beverly Hills/Mid-Wilshire

Sandra received her B.S. in Communications from Boston University and her M.A. from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, Sandra was an associate at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, where she provided support for children and adolescents. Sandra has interned at NBC News and helped produce a local news segment gathering prominent leaders of Boston to take action in the clean up and rehabilitation of a dilapidated children’s park.

During her graduate studies at Pepperdine University, Sandra was awarded the Harry & Izelle Shafer Scholarship for leadership, while serving on the Board Committee of Pepperdine’s Psi Chi, an American Psychology Association-accredited International Honor Society, as the group’s Secretary and Newsletter Editor. Sandra worked as an Executive Assistant to the Founder of Galaxy Media, a full-service publishing company specializing in psychology, mind, body, and spirit. She has presented at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT) and has contributed several peer-reviewed posters to the larger psychology community.

She currently volunteers as a Therapeutic Fun Club Leader at The Ronald McDonald House Charities, providing support for families of children with critical illnesses. She also manages her personal blog about psychology, relationships, family, and community. Sandra is passionate about improving the community, writing about psychology and relationships, and helping others—specifically with women’s issues, anxiety, and substance use.

Sandra is the Intake Coordinator and a Research Assistant at our Beverly Hills office.
