Nadra Gabriel, M.A.

Psychology Extern


Nadra Gabriel is currently a third-year doctoral student pursuing her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. She received her B.A in Psychology at Alliant International University and went on to receive her M.A from Adelphi University in Clinical Psychology. She obtained experience as a research assistant at Montefiore Hospital where she collaborated with pediatric psychologists to integrate trauma-informed care into primary healthcare practice and provided psychoeducation to an underserved population on the adverse impact of toxic stress exposure during childhood development. Her doctoral training has included working at a nonprofit organization called Children’s Institute where she conducted CBT-based individual and family therapy for children and adolescents struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. Nadra’s research interests include childhood mental health, behavioral, emotional, and mental outcomes of exposure to adverse childhood experiences, preventative mental health measures, mindfulness practice, and resiliency factors. Nadra is passionate about providing holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed care for her clients.
